About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Custodian and Maintenance Associate to ensure the daily cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our school facilities. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Facilities Director, you will perform cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, and support school operations to uphold the high standards of our community.
Schedule
This position operates Monday through Friday with a split schedule to ensure continuous coverage:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Occasional evening shifts may be required for coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleClean offices, classrooms, and common areas to ensure a sanitary environment
- check_circleVacuum carpets daily and shampoo carpets as needed
- check_circleSanitize bathrooms daily and empty and clean refrigerators weekly
- check_circleCollect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables
- check_circlePerform routine repairs and servicing of buildings, equipment, and fixtures
- check_circleStrip, wax, and buff hallways when assigned
- check_circleMaintain grounds including lawn care and snow removal
- check_circleInstall partitions, ceiling tiles, and floor coverings
- check_circleAssemble and install new furniture and equipment
- check_circleChange light bulbs and perform minor painting tasks as needed
- check_circleAssist with moving and arranging furniture for events and meetings
- check_circleAccept and distribute deliveries
Requirements
