This position serves as a CT Technologist within the UCHealth Emergency Powers Department in Colorado Springs. You will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care, performing various imaging and radiologic procedures in a fast-paced, innovative clinical setting. The role is critical to the emergency department's mission, requiring you to review patient history, initiate Computed Tomography images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
In this onsite role, you will safely administer contrast media and associated imaging medications while continuously monitoring patient conditions. You are expected to respond and report changes in patient condition as appropriate, implementing techniques to yield clarity in images and ensuring quality control and equipment functionality based on established best practices. Additionally, you may perform 3-D post-processing while entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results. The position also involves modeling proficiency by precepting those new to imaging and/or UCHealth, contributing to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
