About the Role
This position is designed for a clinical professional dedicated to assessing patients and safely performing routine CT procedures in strict accordance with prescribed radiation safety protocols. Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students, guiding the next generation of radiologic technologists.
You will be the face of the department for many patients, responsible for explaining procedures to ensure understanding and adapting your communication style to respect the privacy and specific needs of diverse patient populations. Your day involves independently operating equipment to complete imaging procedures, reviewing images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards, and assisting attending physicians with interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance.

Ochsner Health is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program; ARRT registered or CT certified OR ARRT registry eligible with registration within 90 days; CT registry eligible within one year; Advanced CT certification within one year of eligibility; Current unrestricted state license; and Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
