About the Team
The Movement Innovation Collaborative (MIC) is a new, time-limited entity dedicated to deepening and expanding the capacity, impact, and sustainability of California's grassroots movements for racial justice and social transformation. Operating as a network of physical and virtual "centers," the MIC serves as critical infrastructure to fuel transformative structural change across the state, supporting hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of grassroots leaders.
As a remote-first organization with 15-20 staff across California and a physical office in Los Angeles, the MIC fosters a dynamic, startup environment. The team is committed to collective care, sustainability, and creating an inclusive space where diverse voices are celebrated and treated with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign and configure a Salesforce instance from the ground up for relationship management and fundraising
- check_circleManage data migration from spreadsheets and Airtable into the new CRM system
- check_circleDevelop and maintain documentation to support staff in using the Salesforce platform
- check_circleCreate and maintain a Salesforce roadmap for ongoing feature development and improvements
- check_circleConduct detailed discovery to translate organizational needs into Salesforce configurations
- check_circleTroubleshoot technical issues and implement new features based on user feedback
- check_circleManage user accounts, access permissions, and ensure data hygiene
- check_circleDeliver training sessions to staff on CRM usage and best practices
Requirements
