As a Critical Care Float Pool nurse, you will deliver high-quality patient care across multiple critical care units, adapting quickly to diverse clinical settings and patient needs. This role exists to provide flexible, expert support where it is needed most, ensuring continuity of care during staffing fluctuations or surges in patient acuity.
You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, responding to rapid changes in patient status and utilizing evidence-based practice to guide care. Your day will involve floating between ICU, step-down, telemetry, and other acute units based on organizational needs and your clinical competency. You will be the adaptable backbone of the care team, managing complex hemodynamic parameters, ventilators, and invasive lines while maintaining a focus on patient safety and family education.
