About the Role
As a Critical Care Float Pool Travel Nurse, you will provide expert ICU and step-down care across a variety of hospital environments. This role is designed for nurses who thrive in dynamic settings and are eager to apply advanced clinical skills to complex patient populations. You will float between high-acuity units, assessing, planning, and delivering evidence-based care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Your day-to-day involves managing ventilators, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding effectively to emergencies and rapid response situations. Beyond clinical duties, you will utilize Trusted Health's intuitive staffing tools to adapt quickly to new environments, workflows, and technology platforms. This position offers the unique opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise while enjoying the flexibility of travel assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide high-quality critical care to adult patients in ICU and step-down units
- check_circleRapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in high-acuity settings
- check_circleFloat between units based on facility needs while maintaining safety and standards of care
- check_circleCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
- check_circleAdminister medications, manage ventilators, and operate critical care monitoring equipment
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
- check_circleEducate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans
- check_circleRespond effectively to emergencies, codes, and rapid response situations
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted RN license
- verifiedACLS certification
- verifiedBLS certification
- verifiedMinimum 2 years recent ICU or step-down experience
- verifiedPreferred: CCRN or equivalent critical care certification
Nice to Have
CCRN or equivalent critical care certification. Experience as a travel nurse or float nurse.
