The Crime Laboratory Analyst Supervisor serves as a pivotal leader within the Fort Myers Regional Operations Center, directing the activities of the crime laboratory section. This role exists to ensure the highest level of quality, efficiency, and integrity in forensic work products that support the criminal justice system. The supervisor acts as the bridge between technical staff and the Chief of Forensic Services, fostering a collaborative environment where open communication drives success.
In this position, you will oversee the full spectrum of section operations, from equitable workload distribution and case assignment to the hiring, training, and performance management of analysts. A core aspect of the role involves maintaining strict adherence to the Forensic Science Quality Manual (FSQM), Laboratory Administrative Procedures Manual (LAPM), and accreditation standards. You will be responsible for establishing strong working relationships with criminal justice partners and contributors, ensuring that evidence submission policies are applied consistently while resolving technical and administrative issues as they arise.
