This position serves as a critical support function for IRS credentialing operations, ensuring the secure and efficient management of identification credentials for government personnel. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will act as the primary point of contact for employees and contractors, guiding them through the complex lifecycle of their identification cards—from enrollment and activation to rekeying and eventual return.
The role is dynamic and mission-critical, requiring you to operate within the GSA scheduling tool and USAccess system to manage daily appointments and run essential reports. You will handle sensitive PII and federal credentialing policies with the utmost care, performing duties such as capturing digital signatures, assembling Pocket Commission inserts, and managing card inventory. This is not a static desk job; it involves active engagement with the workforce to ensure seamless credentialing services.
This is a full-time, overtime-exempt position based in Hartford, CT, reporting to ARMADA HQ. A defining characteristic of this role is the requirement for nationwide travel. You must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of your annual work hours to support onsite credentialing operations as mission needs dictate. Additionally, the role requires flexibility to support short-term shiftwork, including standard workdays, night shifts, and weekend hours, to meet operational demands.
Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position. Job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
ARMADA is currently seeking qualified candidates to support these operations, contingent upon the awarding of the government contract. If you possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage federal credentialing processes and are ready to support the mission, please visit our careers page at www.armadausa.com to apply.
