Microsoft Consumer Marketing is dedicated to shaping the next generation of consumer storytelling and digital experiences across our portfolio, including Copilot, Surface, Windows, Microsoft 365, and emerging AI experiences. Our mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day, we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
This is a highly conceptual, craft-driven Creative Director (Art Director) position designed for a world-class visual thinker and maker. You will operate at the center of a highly matrixed organization, partnering across Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Engineering, and external creative partners to deliver cohesive, high-impact work that defines the future of Microsoft's consumer product storytelling.
As an individual contributor, you will not manage people directly but will lead breakthrough work through influence, collaboration, and creative excellence. You will mentor and elevate junior creatives, freelancers, and agency partners, driving work independently from vision through execution. Your role requires the ability to thrive in ambiguity, navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence, and present work with clarity. You will simplify complexity, sharpen narratives, and create modern, premium creative systems that scale across launch moments, product storytelling, social, web, retail, demos, partnerships, and executive communications.
You will embody a unified and future-forward Copilot voice across every touchpoint, scaling from foundational brand vision to pixel-level craft. This role demands deep expertise in visual storytelling, design systems, motion, typography, photography, interaction, and emerging digital experiences, ensuring emotionally resonant work that is strategically grounded, culturally relevant, and executed with precision.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. This position will remain open for a minimum of 5 days.
