We are seeking a Corrosion Control Technician to join our Field Services Team within the Engineering Department. In this role, you will serve as a frontline expert, performing approximately 50 standard corrosion control methods to evaluate and maintain the integrity of critical infrastructure. You will be trained in each of these methods, with your mastery of them serving as the foundation for advancement opportunities within the company.
As a MATCOR technician, your day will involve performing standard testing to evaluate cathodic protection (CP) system efficacy, executing basic adjustments and repairs, and conducting pipeline survey methods such as CIS, ACVG, DCVG, and ACCA. You will gather data to support CP and AC mitigation designs, troubleshoot CP rectifiers, and compile findings in an organized manner for Engineering submission. This position requires the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting with minimal supervision, often traveling 75% of the time and staying near job sites for up to three weeks at a time. You will also play a key role in maintaining client relationships to ensure all customer expectations are met.
