At the GSS SD Rapid City St Martin facility, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, staff, and visitors. As a culinary team member, you will prepare, assemble, cook, season, and portion food while strictly adhering to menu guidelines and specific dietary requirements.
Your day will involve ensuring the highest quality and safest food possible, maintaining rigorous standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation. You will work in a dynamic culinary environment, utilizing a wide range of equipment including mixers, ovens, grills, and dishwashers. Success in this role requires the ability to follow standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, documenting steps and temperatures to assure food safety. You will also manage the labeling and storage of food and equipment, performing necessary washing and cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment.
This position demands strong communication and teamwork skills as you interact with many internal customers. You must be comfortable working independently when necessary, standing for the majority of the day, and navigating the facility to fulfill your duties.
