As a Culinary Team Member at our Rapid City facility, you will play a vital role in nourishing our residents, patients, staff, and visitors. Your day-to-day work involves preparing, assembling, cooking, and portioning food while strictly adhering to menu guidelines and specific dietary requirements. This role requires a dynamic approach to a changing culinary environment. You will follow standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to prepare, store, and use food products safely. You will operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, grills, and dishwashers, while maintaining rigorous sanitation and cleanliness in all cooking and serving areas.
Success in this position requires strong communication skills to work effectively with internal customers and the ability to function both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will be on your feet for the majority of the day, navigating the facility to support the needs of our community.
On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed. Depending on the location of hire, you may be required to obtain Serv Safe certification within a designated timeframe and fulfill annual continuing education requirements, including departmental meetings and safety in-services.
