Join a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of history providing housing and services to seniors. Our mission is rooted in a commitment to quality care and service within a Christian environment. We strive to create a supportive community where residents receive the highest standard of care.
As a Culinary Team Member at our GSS SD Rapid City St Martin facility, you will play a vital role in nourishing our residents, staff, and visitors. You will prepare, assemble, cook, season, and portion food while strictly adhering to menu guidelines and specific dietary requirements. Your work ensures that every meal meets our high standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
This role requires you to function effectively in a dynamic and changing culinary environment. You will follow standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to prepare and store food safely, documenting all steps and temperatures to guarantee the safest possible food for our community. You will operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, grills, and dishwashers, while maintaining cleanliness and proper labeling of food and machinery.
Success in this position requires strong communication skills to work with internal customers and excellent teamwork abilities. You must be comfortable working independently when necessary and be prepared to be on your feet for the majority of the day, walking throughout the facility to support our operations.

A drug screen and pre-employment background screening are required conditions of employment.
