Join a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of history providing housing and services to seniors. We are committed to delivering quality care and service within a Christian environment.
As a Culinary Team Member at our GSS SD Rapid City St Martin facility, you will play a vital role in nourishing our residents, patients, staff, and visitors. Your mission is to prepare, assemble, and serve high-quality baked goods and meals that adhere to strict menu and dietary guidelines.
You will thrive in a dynamic culinary environment where food safety is paramount. This role involves following standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure the safest food possible. You will document critical steps, temperatures, and outcomes while managing the labeling and storage of food and equipment.
Day-to-day, you will operate a wide range of kitchen equipment, from mixers and ovens to dishwashers and grills. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills to work with internal customers, the ability to function as part of a team, and the stamina to remain on your feet for the majority of the day. While you will work closely with the team, you must also possess the ability to work independently when necessary.
On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed. Depending on the location of hire, you may be required to obtain Serv Safe certification within a designated timeframe and fulfill annual continuing education requirements, including departmental meetings and safety in-services. A drug screen and pre-employment background screening are required conditions of employment.
Good Samaritan is an EEO/AA Employer (M/F/Disability/Vet). We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. If you are an individual with a disability and would like to request an accommodation for help with your online application, please call 1-877-673-0854 or send an email to talent@sanfordhealth.org.
