At Watertown Harmony Hill, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring that patients, residents, staff, and visitors receive the highest quality and safest food possible. This position is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic, family-oriented environment and takes pride in preparing meals that adhere to strict dietary and menu guidelines.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, cooking, seasoning, and portioning food while maintaining rigorous standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation. You will work closely with internal customers, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The position involves operating a variety of kitchen equipment, from mixers and ovens to deep fryers and dishwashers, while documenting HACCP steps to ensure food safety.
You will be expected to function independently when necessary, follow standardized recipes, and possess a solid understanding of food safety processes. The role requires being on your feet for the majority of the day and moving throughout the facility to support the kitchen's daily operations.
Candidates with Long-Term Care (LTC) experience are preferred. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate. Depending on the location, ServSafe certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required within a designated timeframe. A valid driver's license may also be necessary depending on specific location requirements.
