As a Culinary Team Member at our GSS SD Rapid City St Martin facility, you will play a vital role in nourishing our residents, staff, and visitors. Your day-to-day involves preparing, assembling, cooking, and portioning baked goods and meals while strictly adhering to menu guidelines and specific dietary requirements.
You will function in a dynamic culinary environment, operating a wide range of equipment including mixers, ovens, grills, and dishwashers. Success in this role requires following standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure the highest quality and safest food possible. You will document critical steps, temperatures, and outcomes to maintain food safety standards.
This position demands strong communication and teamwork skills as you interact with many internal customers. You must be able to work independently when necessary, maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, and possess the physical stamina to remain on your feet for the majority of the day.
On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed. Depending on the location of hire, you may be required to obtain Serv Safe certification within a designated timeframe and fulfill annual continuing education requirements, including safety education and mandatory in-services. A drug screen and pre-employment background screening are required conditions of employment.
