As a Head Cook, you will be the culinary anchor of our airline catering operations. You are responsible for preparing and cooking various food items according to strict recipes while monitoring production as a lead. This role is vital for ensuring that every meal served on board meets our high standards of quality and safety. You will assemble equipment according to airline specifications, package and prepare alcoholic beverages for flights, and ensure production areas remain compliant with sanitation standards and customer requirements.
In this position, you will support Hot Food leadership in monitoring the team's production quality and efficiencies. You will handle a variety of food products, including seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables, while managing temperature logs and converting recipes to accommodate daily production needs. You will work as a collaborative team member, communicating effectively with supervisors and co-workers to deliver excellence.
Our work environment is dynamic and fast-paced. You will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise, and the role requires the physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds frequently. You will stand, bend, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours. We value flexibility; our workforce must adapt to fluctuating schedules during peak seasons to meet production needs and union contract requirements.
