The Controls Integration Engineer is an early-career, hands-on technical role designed for engineers with strong foundational knowledge in controls, electrical systems, and industrial automation. This position focuses on the on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling equipment, including sorters, conveyor systems, and automated work cells.
You will work alongside senior engineers to bring up Industrial PCs (IPCs), PLCs, industrial networks, and field devices during installation phases. This is a mentorship-driven opportunity where you will progressively take on greater ownership of commissioning tasks and subsystems while developing field commissioning expertise.
Your work will be execution-focused, involving close collaboration with technicians, electricians, and contractors during system installation. You will support on-site commissioning activities, perform I/O checkouts, and execute defined test procedures to validate system functionality. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to troubleshooting device-level issues, such as sensor faults and communication errors, while documenting resolutions and lessons learned to support team knowledge sharing. You will also assist with integration testing between field devices and higher-level control systems, ensuring equipment is validated against design specifications before handover to operational ownership.
