This position serves as a critical bridge between the client's engineering teams and end customers, focusing on Battery Enabled Residential HVAC Applications. As a technical expert, you will provide on-site support, product expertise, and solutions that ensure successful product integration and ongoing technical guidance.
The role is designed for a Controls Engineer who applies control theory to design systems with desired behaviors, specifically within the energy sector. You will act as the primary technical contact for utility customers, addressing inquiries related to product functionality and troubleshooting complex issues. Your day-to-day involves coordinating field trial units, supporting utility program installations, and conducting on-site visits to optimize system commissioning.
Beyond technical execution, you will gather customer feedback to drive continuous improvement, partnering with R&D engineers to analyze field test data and implement product enhancements. This position requires a high level of responsibility, including communicating strategic matters to senior leadership and managing complex investigations that require extensive analysis.
This is an immediate-start, 6-month contract position based in San Leandro, CA. Candidates will be evaluated based on their engineering background, relevant experience in energy management or HVAC technologies, and ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
