The Department of Mental Health (DMH) assures and provides access to services and supports to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages, enabling them to live, work, and participate in their communities. This internship opportunity is based within the Clinical Professional Services (CPS) Division at the Central Office in Boston. The role is designed to support the Behavioral Health Treatment and Referral Platform (BHTRP) and the broader mission of the Commonwealth.
As an intern, you will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity of data and resources that drive clinical services. Your day-to-day work involves reviewing BHTRP data on a daily, monthly, and year-to-year basis, and updating the Expedited Psychiatric Inpatient Admission website with current resources and data trends. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate referral database statuses and keeping contact lists for insurers, educational institutions, and psychiatric facilities up to date.
This position requires a high degree of organizational skill to handle private and sensitive information while multitasking effectively. You will work within a team environment, adapting quickly to changing tasks and contributing to group projects. Given the diverse population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency is highly valued.
