About the Role
The Consumer Lender plays a pivotal role in the Bank's growth strategy by soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of routine consumer and residential loans. This position is designed to assist in attaining established Bank, regional, and branch goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs. You will not only manage the loan lifecycle but also develop business checking and deposit relationships, promoting the Bank by maintaining excellent customer relations and referring clients to appropriate staff for new services.
In this role, you will engage in business development activities to instill a positive sales environment, educating customers on the Bank's products and services. You will interview prospective applicants, analyze financial conditions and risks, and present financing requests to Senior Management or the Loan Committee for approval. Your day-to-day involves negotiating loan terms, coordinating the processing of approved loans, and ensuring strict compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Beyond lending, you will represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to enhance the Bank's image and establish a strong market position. You will also cross-sell other products and services, review NSF and overdraft reports, and assist in meeting annual deposit and loan growth goals. Success in this position requires a professional demeanor, both at work and in public, as you act as a trusted advisor to your customers and a collaborative team member within the organization.

Requirements
