About the Role
As a Concrete Mixer Truck Driver, you will safely operate a specialized vehicle designed to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete to meet customer standards. This role is critical to ensuring that construction sites receive high-quality materials efficiently, even when facing difficult and congested delivery unloading points.
Your day will involve receiving direction from a designated dispatcher or plant manager and executing deliveries according to specific instructions. Beyond driving, you will be an active participant in maintaining the cleanliness of the truck and plant, which may include shoveling, sweeping, and rinsing the drum before and after deliveries. You will also serve as a point of contact for customers, answering questions regarding basic product knowledge and providing concrete instructions.
This position requires a blend of independent work and team collaboration. You will frequently climb an 8-foot ladder to ensure proper material loading, handle 50-pound mixer chutes, and add admixtures to the drum as necessary. The role demands adaptability, as work hours vary daily based on customer demand, often requiring availability for nights and weekends.
