About the Role
We are seeking a Computer-Aided Design Draftsperson to support the Next Generation Air/Ground Communications (NEXCOM) program. In this capacity, you will create and revise technical and architectural drawings that are critical to the design and implementation of new Air-to-Ground radio equipment. Your work will directly support over a thousand FAA air traffic control centers across the United States, ensuring the infrastructure remains robust and compliant.
This hybrid role is based in Herndon, VA, requiring onsite presence at a government facility while allowing for remote work. You will be responsible for maintaining engineering drawings using CAD software and manual drafting methods, adhering strictly to FAA Order 6000.55 and FAA-STD-002 standards. The position involves providing design support for facility engineering documentation and producing accurate as-built drawings.
