Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is a specialized team serving as a trusted partner to the federal government. We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense, and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure. Our primary mission is to supply large chilled water HVAC and refrigeration systems to the US Navy and US Coast Guard. We support our nation's most critical facilities, the people who occupy them, and the missions they enable.
Our York, PA plant is where our robust, high-reliability products are designed, manufactured, and tested to military and other stringent customer specifications. Most of our designs are custom-engineered for specific applications. As a team, we are dedicated to keeping the Navy cool—literally.
As a Component Assembler Tube/Tester on our 2nd Shift, you will be a vital part of the production process for our Navy Systems. You will work from isometric drawings, orders, process sheets, specifications, and instructions to lay out, assemble, and erect engineered production systems. Your day-to-day involves determining the route of piping and tubing, measuring, cutting, flaring, and threading materials to precise specifications.
You will assemble, level, and connect fittings, controls, and components, including valves, oil filters, pumps, and pressure control panels. The role requires erecting motor drives, aligning components, and fitting tapered pins and keys. You will also be responsible for charging systems with refrigerant and air, performing leak checks, and repairing any leaks found. Additionally, you will perform air runs, oil and air pressure tests, and vacuum tests on direct drive power generation sources to ensure operational integrity.
