As a Rigger at MEI, you are the backbone of safe and efficient equipment relocation. Your mission is to secure, move, and position heavy machinery and tools with precision, ensuring that every load is handled with the highest standards of safety and integrity. This role is not just about lifting; it is about visualizing complex moves, selecting the right gear for the job, and communicating clearly to keep your team and the equipment safe.
You will work in a high-functioning team environment where safety is the top priority. Whether you are maneuvering heavy equipment through narrow openings, fabricating support structures, or operating specialized vehicles like forklifts and aerial lifts, your work directly impacts the quality of service our customers expect. You will take pride in your craft, maintaining a top-of-mind awareness for the safety of yourself and everyone at the job site.
This is a very physical, hands-on role that requires considerable use of arms and legs. You will be working outdoors in all types of weather, often in non-temperature-controlled environments, and navigating uneven ground or terrain. The work involves climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials up to 50 pounds. You must be comfortable working off the ground at varying heights and remain focused around moving machinery and parts.
At MEI, we value honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We strive for peak performance in daily tasks and believe that open communication is key to our success. We are committed to fostering a diverse workforce and are an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming applicants regardless of background, including M/F/Disabled/Vet status.
