About the Role
As a Pharmacy Department Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a Walgreens Local Specialty Pharmacy, serving as the cornerstone for clinical management, workflow efficiency, and customer experience. This role exists to ensure the highest level of care for patients while maintaining strict adherence to federal and state regulations, internal policies, and quality improvement standards.
You will lead a team of pharmacy professionals, fostering a culture of hospitality and accuracy. Your day involves managing complex prescription workflows, resolving third-party billing issues, and ensuring the safety and well-being of both customers and staff. Beyond clinical oversight, you will drive business performance by managing inventory, controlling expenses, and protecting department assets.

Requirements
- verifiedBS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institute

- verifiedAt least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance
- verifiedCompleted specialized training regarding medication and disease state or sufficient practical experience for specialized services (HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology, etc.)
