This position serves as a vital liaison dedicated to supporting the school district's initiatives to improve student achievement. The role is centered on fostering positive, collaborative relationships between the district, students, parents, the broader community, and criminal justice agencies. Operating with significant independence, the employee reports directly to the Coordinator of Office Parent Engagement and exercises wide leeway in developing work methods to address complex educational and social challenges.

You will provide daily advocacy and mediation support to families and students, often resolving conflict situations within the community. The role requires connecting students and families with essential personal, social, and educational services through a comprehensive referral system.
Beyond direct support, the position involves coordinating and facilitating parent training programs focused on conflict resolution and engagement. You will work cooperatively with community, business, and agency leaders to develop programs that boost student attendance and participation. The role also includes hosting monthly meetings and professional development sessions for district staff, including teacher aides and home school assistants, to enhance their skills in communicating with multicultural families.
