About the Team and Mission
We are seeking a senior-level CNO Developer/Engineer to join a small, talented, and highly effective team at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This team provides software development methods and on-demand operational capabilities to enhance existing or develop new CNO (Cyber Network Operations) capabilities. The group supports the unique challenges faced in the global cyber investigations and operations mission, focusing on researching and developing innovative, leading-edge cyber capabilities and exploitation tools.
About the Role
In this full-time position, you will research, develop, code, architect, and test CNO cyber capabilities and tools at the speed of need. You will work within an existing customer environment to translate operational requirements into technical solutions that provide novel cyberspace capabilities or modernize existing ones.
This role demands a high degree of independence and critical thinking. You will be responsible for creating sophisticated cyber threat discovery, collection, analytical, and pursuit tools without the assistance of AI coding assistants or developer tools. Success in this position requires a creative, curious, and resourceful mindset with a passion for conveying complex information through research to generate deeper insights. You may work independently or participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents.
As a proactive team player, you will collaborate with a lean-forward attitude to shift knowledge left, deliver high-quality results, and continuously identify ways to strengthen the team. You will be expected to make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency based on good judgment and professional standing, while staying updated on the latest advancements in software development and research.
