About the Role
We are seeking a Day Shift CNC Mastercam Programmer to join a large valve manufacturer in Costa Mesa, CA. This role is critical for maintaining high-volume production efficiency, focusing on the programming and support of CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs while defining tooling and process parameters to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality machining operations. Experience with Mazak equipment is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePlan machining processes and production run set-ups by determining optimum cutter paths, speeds, and feed rates
- check_circleDevelop new CNC programs using Mastercam to support production of valves and water works components
- check_circleEstablish and recommend tooling types, geometries, grades, and sizes for machining processes
- check_circlePrepare clear instructions for CNC machine set-up and operation including tool definitions
- check_circlePerform test runs on new or revised CNC programs to verify part quality and dimensional accuracy
- check_circleUpdate, edit, and maintain CNC programs to reflect engineering changes and process improvements
- check_circleInterpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate part programming and machining
- check_circlePerform basic inspection of machined parts to confirm they meet specifications and tolerances
- check_circleMaintain accurate work records including program documentation, setup sheets, and production information
- check_circleCollaborate with machinists and operators to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes
