The CNC Machine Operator is the backbone of our sheet metal fabrication capabilities, responsible for setting up and operating advanced Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery, including turret punch presses, laser cutting systems, and press brakes. This role ensures the accurate fabrication of components according to engineering drawings while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with hands-on experience, capable of interpreting blueprints to develop precise machining instructions and managing the full lifecycle of production from tooling selection to final inspection.
Your day involves operating and programming AMADA equipment, such as laser cutters and press brakes, to maximize machine capability and ensure consistent output. You will perform first-piece inspections, make necessary program adjustments to meet tight tolerances, and troubleshoot any machine or programming issues that arise. A key part of your responsibility is ensuring "lights out" operation for off-hours production, allowing the facility to run efficiently around the clock. You will also conduct routine preventative maintenance, manage spare parts, and keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
