About the Role
Circle of Life is seeking compassionate Inpatient CNAs to provide essential personal care to hospice patients within their homes. This role is vital to our mission of delivering dignified, end-of-life support, ensuring that patients receive consistent, high-quality care regardless of their home environment.
You will work 12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 PM) with both day and night options available. The position requires traveling to various patient locations, making reliable transportation and a valid Arkansas Driver's License essential. As a team player with unquestionable ethics, you will be the frontline support for patients and families navigating terminal illness, emergencies, and the stresses of hospice care.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will provide direct personal care, including bathing, turning, shampooing, and oral hygiene, strictly following the aide care plan. Your responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, exercising clinical judgment, and ensuring all activities meet state and federal requirements alongside Circle of Life's standards of practice.
You will manage a diverse schedule of visits, ranging from regular scheduled appointments and evaluations to unscheduled needs and time-of-death support. Timeliness and consistency are paramount; you must ensure visits occur as planned while documenting all concerns and interventions for the primary nurse. Additionally, you will maintain professional licensure, participate in ongoing educational programs, and assist in mentoring new staff members.
Application & Hiring
To apply, candidates must possess an Arkansas Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant certification, current CPR certification, and satisfactory TB skin test documentation. A minimum of one year of healthcare experience, preferably with terminally ill patients, is required.
