About the Role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Greater Med Staffing, you will play a vital role in patient care within a nursing home setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide basic nursing care and serve as a primary point of support for patients with low mobility. Your day-to-day impact involves ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity through direct interaction and attentive observation.
You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, from grooming and bathing patients to preparing their rooms with necessary items like blankets, pillows, and toiletries. Your role includes assisting patients with meals and medication, monitoring vital signs and behavior, and reporting any changes to the medical staff. Additionally, you will help transfer patients between wheelchairs and beds, adjust them to prevent bedsores, and collect samples for laboratory tests. A key part of your position is educating patients and their families on health conditions and preventive measures while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records.
