About the Role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Greater Med Staffing, you will serve as a vital link in patient care within a nursing home setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your role focuses on delivering compassionate basic nursing care and ensuring the well-being of residents with varying levels of mobility.
Your day-to-day responsibilities involve a blend of direct patient support and clinical observation. You will assist patients with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, and eating, while ensuring their rooms are stocked with necessary items like blankets, pillows, and toiletries. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to monitoring patient vitals and behavior, collecting laboratory samples, and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing and medical staff. Additionally, you will play a key role in patient safety by transferring individuals between wheelchairs and beds, adjusting patients to prevent bedsores, and educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive measures.
