SMX is seeking Cloud Systems Engineers to support the design and implementation of secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure and services for the United States Air Force. This role is critical to enterprise cloud migration efforts and the maintenance of mission-critical systems. You will work primarily with AWS, while leveraging familiarity with multi-cloud solutions including Azure, Google, and Oracle, as well as Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) classified cloud migrations.
In this position, you will help onboard new cloud accounts and applications, conduct security patching, build code pipelines, and support deployment activities. You may develop solutions from scratch using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and AWS Code*. Your work will contribute to the overall strategic vision, integrating a broad range of engineering solutions to meet client requirements. You will help formulate system scope and objectives, developing or modifying processes to solve complex problems for cloud systems, business, and electronic interfaces.
You will navigate client-facing engagements, working in tandem with other vendors and contributing to technical discussions both internally and with customer teams. The role focuses on cloud-native services, optimizing the customer landscape through their adoption, and leading or supporting cloud migration strategies across classified and unclassified networks. You will apply engineering methods and theories to investigate and solve complex cloud requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and applications.
Selected applicants may be subject to a background investigation and/or education verification. Please note that SMX does not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization or immigration-related support (e.g., H1B, F-1 OPT, J-1, etc.) for this position.
