This position supports the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM, providing high-quality IT platform and network services to USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, and end-users. Located at MacDill AFB in Florida, this role is pivotal to maintaining 24x7x365 operational capabilities for forces operating around the globe.
As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will focus on the design and management of core cloud infrastructure, leveraging a deep understanding of AWS and Azure services. You will create and maintain the foundational elements that support cloud applications and services while delivering Tier 3 level support to mission partners. This involves the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of system outages to guarantee optimal service uptime. You will be integral to the systems engineering process, leveraging data for performance enhancement and participating actively in working groups, design reviews, and system testing. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a critical component of this role.
