We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to support and secure enterprise Google Cloud Platform environments. This role is critical for validating cloud architectures, implementing robust security controls, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in GCP security, cloud governance, risk management, and secure-by-design principles to a team dedicated to maintaining a resilient security posture.
In this position, you will partner with cloud engineering, architecture, and application teams to strengthen the overall cloud security landscape. Your day-to-day will involve conducting comprehensive security reviews and risk assessments of GCP services, architectures, and workloads. You will evaluate solutions across infrastructure, platform, and application layers, providing actionable security recommendations and remediation guidance to support secure cloud adoption. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting cloud governance, certification, and authorization initiatives while contributing to platform security engineering and automation efforts.

Experience validating GitHub schema definitions and configuration standards. Knowledge of policy-as-code and compliance automation tools such as Config Validator and OPA/Gatekeeper. Experience securing containerized and serverless workloads including GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions. Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification. Experience with developer portals and governance platforms such as Cortex, Backstage, Prisma, or similar solutions. Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platforms.
