This role operates under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and site leadership to bridge the gap between research protocols and clinical execution. The primary mission is to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant completion of all clinical study duties within the assigned facility. Success in this position requires a deep conceptual application of research protocols to the daily clinical setting, maintaining rigorous documentation standards, and adhering to all applicable State and Federal regulations, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH, and FDA guidelines.
You will serve as a critical liaison between the research team, the PI, and study participants. Your day-to-day involves translating complex study protocols into actionable clinical care, ensuring that every aspect of the trial is executed with precision. From identifying potential participants based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria to managing the intricate logistics of investigational product storage and accountability, you will be the guardian of data integrity and patient safety.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to patient interaction. You will obtain informed consent, educate subjects on study particulars, and monitor their response to investigational products. This role demands a high degree of clinical judgment and communication, as you will regularly consult with the PI regarding product administration and report subject progress or adverse events to the sponsor and IRB. You will also collaborate closely with study monitors to verify and correct data entered into case report forms, ensuring the study record remains ALCOA-compliant (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate).
This position is unique in its operational scope, requiring 100% travel between assigned facilities and various community locations. You will navigate a healthcare environment characterized by air temperature control and moderate noise levels, interacting daily with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The role may involve exposure to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Additionally, travel to regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings may be required to support broader organizational goals.
