About the Team

This role is situated within the Division of Clinical Research in Ob/Gyn at Washington University in St. Louis. The team supports investigators by coordinating basic to moderately complex clinical research studies, ensuring the integrity and compliance of research protocols from inception through completion.

About the Role

The Clinical Research Coordinator serves as the operational backbone for new and existing investigator-initiated studies. You will manage daily activities including participant recruitment and enrollment, facilitating study visits, administering surveys, and overseeing regulatory compliance. The position requires a hands-on approach, involving phlebotomy and offsite visits, making reliable transportation a necessity for success.

You will act as the primary liaison between the study team, funding agencies, and participants. Your day-to-day involves implementing study protocols, managing record-keeping systems, and analyzing participant progress. You will be responsible for determining eligibility, obtaining informed consent, and explaining diagnostic procedures and treatment plans to participants and their families. Additionally, you will collect clinical data, evaluate collected information, and prepare reports on progress trends and study outcomes.

Hiring Process

For frequently asked questions regarding the application process, please refer to the External Applicant FAQ. All external candidates receiving an offer for employment will be required to complete pre-employment screenings, which may include criminal background checks, drug screens, employment and education verification, physical examinations, and necessary vaccinations. Offers are contingent upon the successful completion of these screenings.

If you are unable to use the online application system or require an accommodation, please email CandidateQuestions@wustl.edu or call 314-935-1149 to leave a voicemail detailing your request.
