About the Role

This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and patient safety, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The core mission is to ensure the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective management of medication throughout the prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring phases of pharmaceutical care.

As a Clinical Pharmacist II, you will operate with a higher degree of autonomy than a Clinical Pharmacist I, leveraging specialized drug knowledge and advanced judgment to drive positive patient outcomes. The role requires a dynamic blend of clinical acumen, communication skills, and self-direction to intervene effectively in complex care scenarios. You will not only perform the foundational duties of drug distribution and non-dispensing functions but also lead in evaluating medication orders, resolving discrepancies, and managing sterile compounding for critical therapies such as TPN and hazardous agents.

Beyond direct patient care, this role is deeply embedded in the educational and operational fabric of the Pharmacy Department. You will supervise support personnel, optimize workflow, and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. By engaging in patient care rounds, developing therapeutic plans, and providing education to both patients and healthcare staff, you will help uphold the department's standards and the organization's core values.
