As a Clinical Dietitian at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, you will provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients facing a variety of medical conditions. Your work is central to patient care, involving malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, diet education, and the delivery of critical nutrition support recommendations. All functions are performed in strict adherence to applicable laws, hospital policies, and MedStar's "Spirit Values."
This role requires a dynamic professional who can navigate complex clinical environments. You will consult with physicians and allied health professionals to formulate and document nutrition assessment and treatment plans for patients at risk. Beyond individual patient care, you will participate in clinical rounds, department meetings, and cross-cover diverse areas including the Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics as needed. The position also emphasizes professional growth, requiring the review of relevant literature for Journal Club presentations and the delivery of formal professional presentations to peers or the community.
