You will join the ABQ ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team within the Behavioral and Mental Health department. This high-intensity clinical environment is dedicated to providing comprehensive psychosocial evaluation, diagnostic, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services. The team serves a diverse patient population spanning neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups, requiring a high degree of independent decision-making and program administration.
This position is designed for a clinical leader who will oversee a wide range of therapeutic activities while directly engaging in patient care. You will provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families, preparing treatment and discharge plans that ensure continuity of care. A core component of this role involves leading and training lower-level counselors, social workers, students, and interns, offering clinical supervision and in-service training on best practices and safety protocols.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with other therapists and legal agencies, arranging emergency services for individuals with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances, and managing civil commitment documentation. You will also engage in outreach by visiting patients and families in their homes to provide support with Activities of Daily Living, such as personal hygiene, food preparation, and money management. The role demands a proactive approach to patient safety, encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care while identifying and correcting environmental risks.
In addition to the base salary, this role offers a $6.00/hr Safety Incentive Pay. Shift differentials are available, including 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend day shifts. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, education, and organizational needs.
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in a related discipline and possess at least three years of directly related experience, including documented work in age-appropriate environments. The team is currently seeking a full-time professional to join the ABQ ACT Team on a day shift.
