You will join the ABQ ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team within the Behavioral and Mental Health department. This unit operates in a high-intensity clinical environment dedicated to serving a diverse patient population spanning neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The team's mission is to provide comprehensive psychosocial evaluation, diagnostic, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services with a strong emphasis on independent decision-making and program administration.
This position serves as a clinical leader responsible for overseeing a wide range of therapeutic and case management activities. You will provide direct counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families, while also preparing treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs. A key component of the role involves leading and training lower-level counselors, social workers, students, and interns, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality patient care.
Your day-to-day work will involve consulting with other therapists and professional staff to coordinate therapeutic interventions, including emergency services and crisis intervention for individuals with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances. You will also manage referrals to social service agencies for financial assistance and other required services, sometimes visiting patients and families in their homes to provide outreach. Additionally, you will handle administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures, preparing reports, and participating in research projects to develop service plans.
Patient safety is a core priority. You are expected to follow all safety-related policies, proactively seek opportunities to improve safety protocols, and report any potential or actual safety concerns, medical errors, or near misses. You will also encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by fostering an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions about their treatment.
This full-time role offers a competitive compensation package including a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The position includes a shift differential structure: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. Additionally, there is an extra $6.00 per hour Safety Incentive Pay available.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations.
