You will join the ABQ ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team within the Behavioral and Mental Health department. This unit operates in a high-intensity clinical environment dedicated to serving a diverse patient population spanning neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The team's mission is to provide comprehensive psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic services, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management with a focus on independent decision-making and program administration.
This position serves as a clinical leader responsible for overseeing a wide range of therapeutic services. You will provide direct counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families, while also preparing treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs. A key component of the role involves leading and training lower-level counselors, social workers, students, and interns engaged in patient care activities.
Your day-to-day work includes consulting with other therapists and professional staff to coordinate therapeutic interventions, including emergency services and crisis support for individuals with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances. You will also manage referrals to social service agencies for financial assistance and other required services, potentially visiting patients and families in their homes to provide outreach. Additionally, you will handle administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures, preparing reports, and participating in research projects to develop service plans.
Patient safety is a core priority. You are expected to follow all safety-related policies, proactively seek opportunities to improve safety protocols, and encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting concerns. The role also involves providing side-by-side support and coaching to clients in their home environments regarding Activities of Daily Living, such as personal hygiene, food preparation, and money management.
This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package including a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The role includes a Safety Incentive Pay of an additional $6.00 per hour. Shift differentials are available based on your schedule: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, education, and organizational needs.
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in a related discipline and possess at least three years of directly related experience, including documented experience in an age-appropriate environment. The team is currently seeking individuals ready to step into a high-intensity clinical setting immediately.
