The Classified Systems Administrator, II serves as an integral member of the IS Classified Operations Team, providing critical technical expertise to support RAND's classified systems and services. This role is essential for maintaining the security and reliability of our infrastructure, ensuring that our research can proceed without interruption.
In this position, you will operate and maintain a variety of Windows Desktop technologies, including Linux operating systems, VMWare, and network storage. You will be responsible for supporting Secret collateral and TS/SCI classified workstations and servers, performing system performance analysis, and preparing for government assessments. The role requires close collaboration with other Information Services groups and RAND departments to evaluate, customize, and implement hardware and software solutions while adhering to ITIL best practices and Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
This is an on-site role located in RAND's Washington D.C. office (Arlington, VA), requiring a presence of five days per week. No remote work is available for this position.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to have an active TS/SCI security clearance. The process involves verifying your ability to obtain and maintain necessary security and technical certifications, such as Security+, within the first six months of employment.
