This opportunity is for a Contract Driver position within the Line Haul division. The role involves operating a Dry Van on Over-The-Road (OTR) routes, focusing on transport without driver load or unload duties.
About the Role
As a Contract Driver, you will be responsible for moving freight across long distances, averaging between 1,500 and 3,500 miles per week. The position offers a gross total weekly average pay of $1,500 to $2,100. Drivers operate solo as 1099 independent contractors.
Home Time
Drivers can expect to be on the road for 14 to 30 days at a time. The schedule includes a home time structure where drivers receive 2 days of home time for every 14 days worked. Please note that weekends at home are not guaranteed.
Hiring Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years old and company-approved.
- Hold a Class A license without restrictions for Air Brakes (L, Z), Night Driving (G), No Semi Trailer (O), or Intrastate Only (K).
- Possess at least 2 years of Tractor Trailer experience.
Orientation Details
The orientation process is not paid and does not cover accommodation or meals. However, drivers are provided with their own room during orientation, and the company covers some or all travel expenses associated with the process.
