Class A CDL Company Driver

About the Opportunity

Family Dollar is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join our dedicated fleet based in Odessa, TX. This role is designed for drivers who want to stay active on the road while maintaining a consistent schedule. You will be responsible for delivering dry freight to customer stores across Eastern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Nevada, Southern Utah, and Southern Colorado.

The Role

Drivers on this account average 2,000 miles per week with 2-3 loads and 2-6 stops per load. A key feature of this position is the hands-on nature of the work; drivers utilize gravity rollers to hand unload freight and are compensated for every unload performed. The fleet consists of company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53' dry van trailers, all equipped with top-of-the-line automatic transmissions.

Home Time & Equipment

This position offers weekly home time for a 34-hour reset, with the specific day varying based on freight needs. Drivers have the flexibility to take their trucks home, provided they are parked in a secure, manager-approved location.

Compensation & Benefits

Drivers are compensated through a combination of CPM (cents per mile), pay per load, and a Safe & On-Time Mileage Bonus of up to 3% of mileage pay. The role includes weekly pay, health benefits, 401(k) participation, paid time off, and bonus incentives.
