Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct investigations to determine coverage and damages for moderate to high complexity claims
- check_circleEvaluate policy obligations by assessing liability and damage components of losses
- check_circleAssess personal property, property damage, and loss of use using claims technology
- check_circleCoordinate with internal and external departments to manage claims effectively
- check_circleParticipate in legal proceedings as required to resolve claims
- check_circleNegotiate settlements within authority to resolve first-party claims with insureds
- check_circleIdentify and obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses
- check_circleExplain policy coverages, benefits, and claims processes to stakeholders verbally and in writing
Requirements
- verifiedBachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
- verified4-6 years prior claims handling experience
- verified4-6 years property claims administration experience
- verifiedModerate knowledge of fault assessment, negligence and subrogation principles
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, general computer software and claims software
- verifiedValid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record and minimum liability insurance
- verifiedInsurance/claims adjuster license (may be required for specific states)
