CenterWell Home Health is a leading healthcare services business focused on creating integrated and differentiated experiences that put patients at the center of everything we do. As part of Humana, we specialize in personalized, comprehensive home care for patients managing chronic conditions or recovering from injury, illness, surgery, or hospitalization. Our care teams—including nurses, therapists, and social workers—work together to help patients rehabilitate, recover, and regain their independence.
As a Revenue Cycle EDI Systems Analyst, you will join a caring community dedicated to whole-person well-being. You will report to the VP of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and serve as a critical liaison between the Financial Services Unit (FSU), internal teams, and external business partners. Your mission is to ensure accurate and timely billing, maintain strict regulatory compliance, and optimize the workflows that drive efficient receivable management.
In this role, you will support, monitor, and optimize the revenue cycle systems utilized by the FSU. You will act as a bridge between technical requirements and business goals, collaborating with IT, vendors, and finance to streamline revenue cycle performance. Your day-to-day involves managing electronic data transactions (such as 837, 835, and 270/271), troubleshooting system issues, and identifying process improvements to reduce denials and accelerate reimbursements.
You will leverage data analysis to track billing trends and provide actionable insights to leadership. By ensuring systems align with CMS, HIPAA, and payer requirements, you will help the organization navigate complex regulatory landscapes while supporting staff with system training and best practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to use your analytical and problem-solving skills to make a tangible impact on the financial health of our care delivery model.
This is a remote position with occasional travel required to Humana offices for training or meetings. To ensure effective performance, home or hybrid employees must have a dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to protect patient PHI/HIPAA information. Internet service must meet specific criteria (minimum 25 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload), and employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses. Telephone equipment appropriate for business requirements will be provided.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their experience in healthcare revenue cycle and EDI, their understanding of HIPAA transactions, and their ability to collaborate across functions. The interview process will assess technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit within our patient-centered mission.
