Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePerform engineering design tasks for roadway, municipal, rail and port projects from preliminary to final design
  • check_circleDevelop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
  • check_circleProvide engineering design services for traditional design and design-build highway projects
  • check_circleMentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans including cross sections and drainage
  • check_circleAssist in coordinating design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
  • check_circleParticipate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
  • check_circleIdentify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective actions
  • check_circleBegin to foster relationships with regulatory agencies, local government, FDOT and state clients

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation related engineering
  • verified0 to 2 years of experience designing transportation/roadway engineering projects
  • verifiedEIT licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date
  • verifiedMicrostation/Geopak, OpenRoads Designer software experience
  • verifiedMicrosoft Office Suite experience
  • verifiedBluebeam Revu and/or Adobe Acrobat experience
  • verifiedAbility to pass pre-employment background check
