About the Role

As an Engineer, Airports, you will join a dedicated design team focused on the planning and design of infrastructure for small and large airports. This role is centered in our Wilmington, North Carolina office and involves a blend of technical design and project coordination. You will collaborate with team members to execute design elements for conventional plans, surveys, structures, and equipment, while also interacting directly with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Your day-to-day work will involve generating engineering reports, construction plans, and project specifications, as well as assembling permit applications for City, County, and State agencies. You will provide engineering oversight during construction phases and assist in preparing project scopes, budgets, and schedules. While the role is primarily office-based in a clean, pleasant environment, occasional site visits to outdoor environments may be required. You will work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, balancing time efficiently to meet critical deadlines and stay within budget.
